Not a pay to win app

I absolutely love this game the fact that you can get the game and watch your team as it grows into a top team is incredible. Myself I have an all time profit of 186M and I’ve not spent a penny, I’ve won 39 trophies including the premier league on three separate occasions. I believe that the only reason other people may say the game is pay to win or that you’re destined to fail is because they haven’t put enough time and effort into the game I have played over 80 years as chairman with my club and I’m happy with the progression I have made over that time. The only thing that I would say they should add is that there should be more depth in the records held by players and the players in general there should be an overall record sheet with every player that has broken a record at anytime in your career.

Great idea, p2w execution tho...

The overall idea and gameplay is really good... I like the gameplay is unpredictable. Getting promoted is hard. I like that. Staying up next season even harder. I like that. Staying financially solvent and not making one of a few mistakes that will bankrupt you (upgrading stadium, training, youth, overspending wages). Also good. This game is a real challenge and needs a long term view with very incremental changes. It’s much more realistic than the manager games where players improve well, you can sell off, and you can never really go backwards. Here, you are stuck in a division for a while and can go backwards fast...

The best I managed in the free 30 seasons was to get to league 1. Not a bad feat. Yet this game advertises itself as think long term but it doesn’t allow you to play long term unless you pay.

Overall pretty decent. Great, simple idea but the limit on years makes it a p2w execution. Ultimately you’re pushed to buy the game if you want to progress... Getting to the premier league is virtually impossible for freebies... if you are willing to buy and like this game, you will enjoy the challenge as even a clear overall squad way ahead of its league is not guaranteed the title. If you’re after freebie, this will frustrate you.

An honest game.

This game is nothing that will blow you away, but it’s an honestly just fun game. You get really invested within your team and the game overall. The base idea of the game works, it’s like football manager in most aspects. However, there are numerous small quality of life issues and lack of refinery in some parts of the app that doesn’t ruin it, but can sometimes make the game less easier to play. For example: they could do a lot more with the players and relationship between the players and the chairman. Not to mention the silence in between the games, some sound effect when clicking buttons or even music would make the game feel a bit nicer.

Overall a simple 4 star game and I hope that they continue to refine the game.

(The ‘pro’ version isn’t an issue as the developers have to make money, and the game is more than playable without it.)
